The couple moved into Newport Bluffs over a year ago, drawn by its appealing amenities and prime location. Lombardo, an outside sales representative who previously lived in Redondo Beach, was particularly impressed by the community’s well-maintained environment and friendly atmosphere.

“The amenities are top-notch, the place is spotless and everyone is so welcoming,” he says. “It was the first place that felt right to us.”

The proximity to the 73 toll road and the beach made it an easy decision, offering the perfect balance between city convenience and coastal tranquility.

For Peterson, a tech sales professional working remotely, the dog-friendly environment at Newport Bluffs was a major draw.

“The green spaces and walking trails were perfect for my golden retriever,” she says. Though her beloved pet has since passed, Peterson still cherishes the ease and comfort of living in such a pet-friendly community.

One of the couple’s favorite pastimes is playing tennis on one of the two courts available at Newport Bluffs.

“We play about three times a week, usually in the mornings,” says Lombardo, a former high school tennis player. “It’s convenient and a great way to start the day.” 

The community also boasts a saltwater pool and a well-equipped gym, making it easy for residents to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The couple’s weekends are a mix of relaxation and exploration. They often start with a dip in the pool, followed by a casual bike ride to the nearby beach, where Lombardo sometimes brings his surfboard.

“We love how quick and easy it is to get to the beach, whether it’s for surfing or just enjoying the sunset,” Peterson says. They also enjoy dining at local favorites like WASA Sushi & Teppan and Blk Dot Coffee, both just across the street.

More than just a residence

Living in Newport Beach offers a unique blend of resort-style living and practical conveniences. 

“It’s more relaxed than living in a big city,” Lombardo says. “The vibe here is just different — calm and laid-back, yet vibrant.”

Peterson adds, “It’s perfect for young couples like us. You can be active with so many outdoor activities, and there’s always something happening, like yoga nights at Newport Bluffs.”

The community at Newport Bluffs is not just about amenities but also about the people. 

“From the moment we moved in, we felt a strong sense of community,” says Peterson, who quickly became close friends with her neighbors. “It’s a place where people are friendly, driven and well-connected.”

For Lombardo and Peterson, Newport Bluffs is a community that enhances their quality of life, providing the perfect backdrop for work and play.

“The weather’s perfect year-round, and everything you need is right here,” Lombardo says. “It’s hard to imagine living anywhere else.”
